What is an ‘Escape Room’ experience?

It’s a team game set in a series of rooms full of puzzles and challenges where you get 60 minutes to finish. Think of it a bit like ‘the Crystal Maze’ from the ‘90s just with a lot more challenges and puzzles in each room!

How much does it cost?

It is £20 per person.

Will we have other people in the room with us?

No, when you book with us the room is just for you and your friends or colleagues. We believe it is a much better experience for you this way.

Who is the game for?

Anyone. Young or old, friends or families, companies and teams. If you want to have some fun for an hour doing something different and challenging, with a great sense of accomplishment at the end, this is for you!

Do I need to have done one before?

No. We’ve got a great team who will meet you at the door, explain how it works, and then be available all through the game to help you when you need it.

Is it scary?

No, definitely not. We’ve built this to be fun, not to scare you.

How does it work?

A member of the team will talk you through how it works on the day, take you to the room, and then be available should you need help. Everything you need to play the game is in the room.

How many can play?

Each room is designed for different group sizes, from 2 to 7 people, and it’s mentioned on the room descriptions on this website.

How old do you need to be?

Players need to be 14 or over to play unsupervised. Happy for children below 14 to take part, supervised by an adult, but much below 10 and they may find some of the puzzles and challenges a bit difficult to understand or complete.

How long will it take?

Around 90 minutes in total – we start with a 10 to 15 minute briefing in our reception room you’ll then have up to 60 minutes in the experience itself. After that there is then around 10 minutes to debrief you and chat through the fun you’ve had!

What should I wear or bring with me?

You don’t need to bring anything, or wear any special clothes. We would suggest comfortable shoes for moving easily around in. We will ask you to put mobile phones in a locker (that you keep the key to) so they don’t distract from the experience itself.

Do you cater for people with challenges around accessibility or other impairments?

We’re in an old building and our rooms are only accessible via stairs. Also, the games may not be suitable for people with severe visual or hearing impairments. If you have any special requirements or needs and are unsure, please contact us and we will do our very best to accommodate you.

Is it suitable for someone who is pregnant?

Absolutely! There is nothing in the room that needs to be physically demanding, and we’re happy to provide a chair or refreshments in the room if needed.

Will there be anyone else in the room with me?

No, when you book the room, it is yours for the hour, whether you book as a 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6. We do not sell any available spaces in your session.
