Terms and conditions

By purchasing the ticket, you (“Ticket Holder”) agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of sale specified herein and any other provision as may be specified from time to time by Exciting Escapes. The owners of Exciting Escapes or employees shall not be liable for any death, personal injury, loss, damage however caused while in the venue, location or place related to Exciting Escapes nor are they liable for any complaints, claims, refunds, or exchange for any reason, including without limitation, cancellation or postponement of the Exciting Escapes. Any refunds shall be made only at Exciting Escapes management’s discretion. Tickets are sold subject to the following conditions:

1: General

1.1. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights.

1.2. The game is designed for a team of 2-7 people per room.

1.3 The trade marks and logos displayed on the website are the property of the company. You are not permitted to use these without a written consent of the company and you accept that any such use may constitute an infringement of the relevant proprietor’s rights.

1.4. These terms and conditions and any contract concluded incorporating these terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and all disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

1.5. The website may contain hyperlinks to third party websites. The operation of those websites is out of the company’s control and you may use them at your own risk. The company accepts no liability for any damage arising out of any use of those websites.

1.6. The company collects and stores your personal details without disclosing it to any 3rd party and is dedicated to ensure that the privacy of your personal information is protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

1.7. Due to the nature of the game no recordings can be taken inside the room. That includes (without limitation) the use of mobile phones, recording devices (video and/or audio) and cameras. The use of such a device in the room is not permitted at any time.

1.8. The company expects visitors not to disclose any details of the game directly or indirectly to the public.

1.9. The company may contact you from time to time with offers and promotions via email or phone. If you wish to unsubscribe, please write us an email and we will take your email off our database. Contact email is listed in paragraph 4.

1.10. The company is entitled to charge the guests for any damage which is intentional and/or caused by misuse of items.

1.11. While your are on our premises, you must ensure to conform to our codes and regulations, adopt proper standards of behavior, and cooperate with our employees.

1.12. The company doesn’t tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment towards its employees.

2: Bookings

2.1. The only language available for the conclusion of a contract online is English.

2.2. Only person(s) who are at least 16 years of age are permitted to book a Game.

2.3 This is a live event game, and once the booking is confirmed, we can not accept any cancellations, reschedules or give any refunds.

2.3.1 If a booking cannot take place due to a change in COVID regulations, we will reschedule any game, with no time limit as to when you choose to rebook. Alternatively, we will convert the booking into Gift Vouchers at your request.

2.4. Any purchase on the website is only valid when processed by the company. You shall receive a confirmation once your booking is processed.

2.5. If you wish to transfer your booking(s) into someone else’s name, you must contact the company by either email or telephone at least two hours prior to the start of your booking.

2.6. You are entirely responsible for entering your details correctly on the Online Booking Form on the website.

2.7. A booking becomes a no-show and entry will be declined if the team is late 15 minutes or more of the booked starting time. In such a situation the money is not refundable and the booking is not changeable.

2.8. Teams are required to show up 15 minutes prior to the booked time in order to have enough time to receive information regarding the rules of the Game.

2.9. If the team is late less than 15 minutes, depending on availability the 60 minutes to escape the room will be decreased.

3. Price and payment

3.1. The price of a game is stated on the website under the booking section.

3.2. The price is set according to group size (up to maximum 7 persons).

3.3. The online payments can be made by: Stripe credit card facility

3.4. Bookings can be made online or by telephone.

3.5. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Bookings made by telephone must be followed by online payment.

3.6. Only one type of discount or offer can be used with a single booking.

3.7 If any offer is deemed misused then the offer applied to your order will be removed and payment of balance will be due. Failure to pay the balance may result in booking cancellation.

4. Safety

4.1. Each attendee will be instructed before their event by one of the employee of the company. After learning the rules of the event, each attendee will participate in the event at their own risk. The company is not liable for any (personal or equipment) damages caused by not following the rules described before the event. Each player will sign a statement agreeing to the Terms and Condition of the Game before entering the escape room.

4.2. People under influence of alcohol or drugs might be turned away and their game will be stated as a no-show.

4.3. Drinks and food may not be brought into the event and into the room unless otherwise specified.

4.4. To be admitted you must confirm the full name of the booker and might be asked to confirm phone number and email address the booking confirmation was sent to.

4.5. Players need to be 14 or over to play unsupervised. Happy for children below 14 to take part, supervised by an adult, but much below 10 and they may find some of the puzzles and challenges a bit difficult to understand or complete.

4.6 COVID19 An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to Public Health England, senior citizens and customers with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting Exciting Escapes you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

5. Photos And Comments

5.1 Photos of each team will be taken during and at the end of the game.

5.2. Photos may be uploaded to social media sites without names.

5.3. Attendees may comment on the experience on social media. The company has the right to moderate all comments that are not appropriate.

5.4. The Company does not have to explain why comments were refused or deleted. It has full authority over any comments.

6. Summer activity days

6.1. Places are sold on a first come first served basis.

6.2. Children must be between the ages of 6 and 13.

6.3. By booking a place on the activity day, parents are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

6.4. We are not able to administer any medication to your child.

6.5. Children must bring their own packed lunch and snacks.

6.6. The hours of camp are 8.30 to 4.30pm each day – we cannot accept children before 8.30am and they must be collected by 4.30pm. We are not responsible for children outside of these hours.

6.7. Exciting Escapes does not accept the loss or damage to any property belonging to the children. All valuables should be left at home.

6.8. Mobile phones by children are not permitted during the day at all. If children do have their phones with them, they will be asked to lock them in our secure customer lockers until the end of the day.

6.9. Exciting Escapes reserves the right to cancel or amend any part of the activity day.

6.10. Exciting Escapes reserves the right to remove any child from the activity day due to misbehaviour or whose behaviour puts themselves or others at risk, without a refund.

6.11. In the event of an accident first aid will be administered to children in our care and the emergency services will be called if necessary.

6.12. All children in our care are covered by our public liability insurance.

6.13. In the unfortunate event that one of our activity days has to be cancelled due to an emergency or circumstances beyond our control, we will offer a placement at another activity day at a later date. No refunds will be permitted.
