One of My Favourite Escapes!

We’d chosen Hidden Past to try as a family. It’s near perfect – lots of puzzles to play at once, so no one is bored or stood watching. All wrapped up in a nostalgic theme which felt so appealing. We’ll be back again, I’m keen to try a third room.

FAQ

We operate two venues in central Basingstoke, both just outside Festival Place: 21–23 Wote Street, RG21 7NE and Chiltern House, Feathers Yard, RG21 7AT. Both locations are only a short walk apart.

Yes. Festival Place Car Park is about 10 minutes’ walk away and offers plenty of spaces. We recommend the Blue or Orange zones for the easiest access to our venues.

Basingstoke train station is about a 10-minute walk away via Festival Place. The main bus station is also located next to the shopping centre, making our venue easy to reach from across the town.

The quickest way is through our online booking system. Simply choose your mission, pick a time slot, and complete the booking in a few clicks.

We don’t currently offer resident-specific discounts, but we regularly run seasonal offers and promotions throughout the year.

Yes. With multiple missions running simultaneously, we can host larger groups by splitting teams across different rooms. Please call us to discuss!

Most of our games are recommended for ages 7+. Players aged 7–13 must have an adult in the room with them.

Our missions range from beginner-friendly adventures to more challenging puzzles. No matter which room you choose, our Game Masters are always ready to provide hints if your team needs them.

If the clock runs out, don’t worry. Your Game Master will walk you through the remaining puzzles so you can still see how the mission unfolds.

Due to the layout of the buildings, both Basingstoke venues require using stairs and are not fully accessible. If anyone in your group has accessibility needs, please contact us beforehand so we can advise.

Food and alcohol are not permitted inside the escape rooms. Bottled drinks with secure caps are fine. Food and drinks can be arranged for team building events and birthday parties.

Comfortable clothing and shoes are best. You’ll be moving around the room, searching for clues, and solving puzzles for about an hour.

Absolutely. Escape rooms are a brilliant way to kick off a celebration, and we can run multiple games at the same time for larger groups.
